Welcome to Tangled Tales!  This is the website for our special group of tanglers.  Let us tell you our story.

We were introduced to Zentangle during the pandemic.  There was a group of older adults who were connecting through Zoom so we didn’t feel lost and isolated when we couldn’t leave our homes.  We connected with another group of older adults in Pennsylvania, residents at Heritage Village in Nazareth.  We were all looking for new things to learn and ways to manage our online communities. That’s when we learned about Zentangle(c), a meditative art form.  When you are “tangling” you feel peaceful and calm and you also create wonderful drawings.  This method was created by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts.  They believed that designs are made up of a series of lines.  One line at a time and anyone can create both a meditative state and lovely personal art.  You can learn more details if you go to Zentangle.com.  There is lots about them on the website, as this is the 20th anniversary of the Zentangle method.  As they say in Zentangle(c), “Anything is possible one stroke at a time.”

When we heard about Zentangle, we also heard about our Certified Zentangle Teacher(CZT), Hilary Smith.  She is a wonderful leader of our tangled tales, and she has taught us a lot.  We started our first class and that was it.  We were hooked.  We have been tangling ever since.  We hope you will consider joining us.  Just email peggy@tangled-tales.com and let us know you are interested.  We will tell you all about the process.
